About Kitty
Singer, children’s writer and early years music specialist, Kitty Pidduck, has over 30 years' experience providing music sessions in nurseries, children's centres, schools, libraries and arts centres across London.
Kitty studied drama at Lancaster University and jazz singing at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama before going on to train at Community Music (now CM). As well as working professionally as a singer/songwriter, backing vocalist and session musician, Kitty took her jazz trio to community venues across the UK with Live Music Now.
She has written and recorded numerous songs for children and adults and sang the theme tune of the popular children's phonics series, Letterland.
Kitty worked for eight years as a primary music specialist at Hitherfield Primary School, providing weekly music lessons for children in the nursery and children’s centre and at reception, key stage 1 and key stage 2 as well as coordinating performances for parents and carers.
An experienced performer and director, she has written countless shows for under-fives and is working on a musical children’s animation series.
Kitty Pidduck is the pen name of Cathy Clethero.
